We would like to welcome Professor Dr Holger Dette as the new Editor-in-Chief of Stat.

Holger Dette is a professor in the Institut und Fakultät für Mathematik at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany. Holger has broad interests, including design of experiments, nonparametric statistics, functional data, time series, change point problem analysis, random matrices and  biostatistics.  He has served as an Editor of Stat since its launch in 2012 and has also served as Editor on Metrika, Bernoulli and the Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference. Holger is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and an Elected member of the International Statistical Institute.

Holger replaces Hao Helen Zhang as the Editor-in-Chief. Wiley would like to thank Helen for her service, leadership and dedication to the journal over the last 5 years.
