PSI’s Journal Club Presents: The Use of External Controls in Clinical Trials

The next PSI Journal Club features two papers on the topic of “The Use of External Controls in Clinical Trials”. The webinar will be held on the 6th July 2021 from 4-5pm BST and will be hosted over Zoom. Register for the webinar here

Please join to hear Chris Harbron (Roche) and Margaret Gamalo (Pfizer) present their recent work. The webinar will be chaired by Nigel Stallard (Warwick University). The papers presented were both published in Pharmaceutical Statistics

Chris Harbron will speak about “The use of external controls: To what extent can it currently be recommended?” written with Hans Ulrich BurgerChristoph Gerlinger, Armin KochMartin PoschJustine Rochon, and Anja Schiel. 

Margaret Gamalo will present “Propensity score matched augmented controls in randomized clinical trials: A case study” written with Junjing Lin and  Ram Tiwari. 

For each of paper, there will be a 20 minutes presentation by the author followed by a 10 minute discussion.
