Nominations for the 2021 Maddox Prize are open

Nominations for the John Maddox Prize 2021 have just opened. Now in its tenth year, the prize is the initiative of Sense about Science and Nature.

The John Maddox Prize recognises the work of an individual to promote sound science and evidence on a matter of public interest, facing difficulty or hostility in doing so. Its premise is the value of an open and honest environment for societies to discuss scientific evidence. Recognising researchers and others who face extraordinary challenges is an important part of advocating for that environment.

Sense About Science are accepting nominations from now until the closing date, Monday 14 June 2021 and the award will be announced in December at an awards evening hosted by the Wellcome Collection. You can find the details and the nomination form on the Sense About Science website. (Remember to inform the person you nominate.)
