ISI and Esri Spatial Thinking Student Competition 2020-21

The Spatial Thinking Student Competition sponsored by ISI and Esri is now accepting applications through to 1 January 2021. The competition’s rules are listed here.

Processes and deadlines
Entry topics may include statistics and data science or focus on areas of the economy, society, and the environment. We especially encourage submissions around the topics of International Year of Women in Statistics and Data Science, urban planning, sustainable development, health, and disasters of all kinds. Enter the contest for a chance to win and be recognized for your GIS, spatial analysis, and storytelling skills. Apply before 1 January 2021 to ensure your chance to participate. 

All participants will have until 30 May 2021 to submit materials for judging.

 

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded for first place in each of the three categories:

  • Data Science: Scientific research and analysis with GIS and statistics
  • Spatial Thinking: Use of geospatial tools for spatial analysis and modeling
  • Communication: Celebrate your work and convey your StatsStory with maps

Winners will receive US$500, a one-year ArcGIS personal use license, and a full membership to ISI until 31 December 2022.
