The Workshop on Statistics and Applications 2026 (WSA 2026) will take place at ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon, on 4–5 December 2026, in Lisbon, Portugal.
The workshop is organised in honour of the 70th birthday of Professor Wenceslao G. Manteiga and aims to bring together researchers working in statistics and its applications, fostering scientific exchange and new collaborations across a broad range of research areas.
The scientific programme will cover topics including nonparametric and semiparametric statistics, functional data analysis, spatial and spatio-temporal statistics, machine learning, computational statistics, survival analysis, time series, high-dimensional data, stochastic modelling and a wide range of statistical applications.
WSA 2026 benefits from an outstanding Scientific Committee and Organising Committee, comprising internationally recognised researchers from several countries. We are also honoured to welcome an excellent panel of plenary speakers:
