A celebration of 50 Years of the Cox model in memory of Sir David Cox

LSHTM Centre for Statistical Methodology Symposium 

Co-hosted by the Royal Statistical Society, The Department of Statistics at the University of Oxford, and the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College.

This one-day symposium will celebrate 50 years of the Cox model and will remember the work of Sir David Cox (1924-2022) more generally, including some of his many other contributions to statistics. Speakers will include Nancy Reid (University of Toronto), Per Kragh Andersen (University of Copenhagen), Heather Battey (Imperial College), Rhian Daniel (University of Cardiff), and Bhramar Mukherjee (University of Michigan). The day will also feature a number of further contributions and discussion.

The symposium will take place at LSHTM, in the building where David Cox read his paper to the Royal Statistical Society in 1972.
