RSS opens nominations for Statistical Excellence awards

The Royal Statistical Society has announced that nomination are now open for their Awards for Statistical Excellence.

The Statistical Excellence awards are awarded on a yearly basis 'in recognition of outstanding contributions to the field of statistics' (StatsLife, 13th February 2014). The awards will be presented during this year's RSS Conference in Sheffield this September.

The Excellence awards celebrate the application of statistics in three different fields: the media, official statistics and in the pharmaceutical industry. For full details on all awards, please click here.

The deadline for nominations is 25th April with the exception of 23rd May for the Pharmaceutical Industry Awards. Winners will be announced on 1st July.

StatsLife, the website for the Royal Statistical Society, has put a call out for volunteers to help judge the entries. Further information can be found here.
