Guardian announces data Student Media Award

The Guardian has added a data category to its Student Media Awards.

The student data interactive journalist of the year will be awarded for the best graphic or interactive telling a story. The winning entry will be clear, concise and engaging, and can be published online or in a newspaper or magazine.

The winner will be awarded with two weeks work experience at the Guardian, with one week of work experience for the runner up.

Among the judges for the data interactive journalist of the year award will be Adam Frost, Data Visualisation Manager at the Guardian News and Media, and Nick Petrie, Social Media and Campaigns Editor for The Times and Sunday Times.
