The International Mathematical Union and UNESCO will host Mathematics of Planet Earth Day on 5th March 2013.

The day will be opened by UNESCO’s Director-General Irina Bokova and the European launch of Mathematics of Planet Earth will occur the same day as well as the launch of the Mathematics of Planet Earth Exhibition. The winners of the MPE competition will also be announced and receive their prizes.

The Day will also include lectures by Professor Hervè le Treut, Director of the Institute Pierre-Simon-Laplace. For full details of the program’s schedule, please click here.
