The Young Statisticians Section (YSS) of the Royal Statistical Society have put out a call for volunteers to join their Committee for 2020.

The YSS exists to support and bring together statisticians in the first 10 years of their careers – including students. They run a number of events each year for young statisticians, including careers days, webinars, competitions, and a variety of sessions at the RSS Annual Conference, as well as supporting numerous other conferences and events in the statistical calendar.

The Committee are looking for enthusiastic individuals with new and creative ideas for reaching out to the early-career statistics community. Responsibilities would include helping to organise events targeted at young statisticians and representing the YSS at events (for which travel expenses will be covered).

The deadline for applications is Friday 20th September 2019.
