Final Call for Nominations for Abdel El-Shaarawi Young Researcher’s Award

Any researchers hoping to submit a nomination for the 2019 Abdel El-Shaarawi Young Researcher’s Award will need to enter before the deadline on January 31st.

The Award was established by the board of The International Environmetrics Society (TIES) in order to recognize and honour early-career investigators who have made outstanding contributions to the development of statistical and/or quantitative approaches for research in the environmental sciences.

In order to qualify for this prestigious award, a researcher must have been a TIES member in 2018 and 2019 and completed their PhD within 12 years of the submission deadline (31st Jan 2019). The ceremony will be at the ISI 2019 World Statistical Conference after the nominee’s scientific presentation, and the prize will include a substantial contribution towards travel for participating in this conference.
