The third ICISE will take place at City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, on 15-17 December 2014. The first ICISE was held in Beijing in 2009 and the second ICISE at Tainan in 2012.

The ICISE Conference aims to provide a platform for innovative creation, development, and dissemination of research ideas and results on the interface between statistics and engineering for the support of complex system design and operation, quality and reliability improvement, and optimal proactive decision-making.

The topics of ICISE include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Applied statistics
2. Data mining and machine learning
3. Statistical data analysis integrated with engineering models
4. Quality and reliability engineering
5. Optimal decision making
6. Optimal manufacturing and service enterprise systems
7. Statistical controls in the semiconductor industry
8. System informatics and control
