The conference is designed to aid applied statisticians in improving their abilities in consulting with and helping customers and organizations solve real-world problems.
1.Learn statistical techniques that apply to your job as an applied statistician
2.Learn how to better communicate with customers
3.Learn how to have a positive impact on your organization

CSP 2015 will offer courses, tutorials, a Keynote session, concurrent sessions, poster sessions, a Closing Session, exhibits, and more.

Target Audience

The intended audience includes those statisticians, data analysts, researchers and scientists who engage in statistical analysis, design and consulting as a major component of their jobs. They may teach, engage in research and perform administrative duties as well, but their main role is the practice of statistics. A sizable portion of the audience will have graduate degrees in statistics, or a related area, and still others will have no statistics degree per se but will have mastered their skills through coursework as part of another discipline of study and self-study.

Conference Goals

The conference will provide opportunities for this audience to learn new statistical methodologies and best practices in statistical analysis, design, consulting and statistical programming through courses; sessions with papers, panels, and posters; and a keynote presentation. The conference will also provide opportunities for attendees to further their career development through courses and sessions on effective communication, management and leadership skills in addition to career placement activities. Another goal of the conference is to strengthen relationships in the statistical community for those practitioners not necessarily part of an academic community or a large statistical organization.
