The International Statistical Institute has announced a Regional Statistics Conference to be held on 16-19 November 2014 at Sasana Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The conference aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, industry professionals, and policymakers, particularly from the Asian and Oceanic regions, to discuss and exchange ideas on statistics research and practice.

The theme of the conference is “Statistical Science for a Better Tomorrow”. The conference will cover a broad range of topics in research and application of statistical science for discovery and innovation to create a better future. The topics will include academic, official, survey, industrial, and environmental statistics, as well as statistical application in banking, finance and economics. The discussions at the conference will also help to improve the policy-making process and shape socio-economic development. There will be pre- and post-conference workshops.
