The European Congress of Methodology is organised biennially under the auspices of the European Association of Methodology (EAM), a society established in 2004 and which currently brings together a large number of researchers from all over the world.

The aim of the conference is to bring together specialists in methodology and statistics in the fields of Behavioral, Social, Educational, Health and Economic Sciences, as well as in Evaluation research. Topics on previous conferences ranged from design and data collection to statistical analysis, including measurement models, imputation, and causal inference. Since its inception in 2004 the Congress has been made to coincide with the Biennial Conference of the Society for Multivariate Analysis in the Behavioral Sciences (SMABS), which on this occasion celebrates its 29th Conference.
