Course: Who needs mathematics and statistics?

Professional development to support teachers of mathematics in working with teachers of other subjects

Please note this course will also take place in Leeds on 2nd May and Plymouth on 13th May 2013.

Course aims:

  • To give teachers of mathematics A level examples of the use of mathematics and statistics in other subjects.
  • To introduce some mathematics resources which can be used by science teachers
  • To introduce some statistics resources which can be used by social science teachers
  •  To provide teachers with an opportunity to work together in preparing their students for further study

The emphasis in the morning will be mathematics in science and, in the afternoon, statistics in social science.
