The 2012 Latin American Meeting of the Econometric Society will be held in conjunction with the Latin American and Caribbean Economics Association and will take place in Lima, Perú, from November 1st to 3rd, 2012. The meetings will be hosted by Universidad del Pacifico (UP).

The Annual Meetings of these two academic associations will share a common program, under a single local organization. By registering for the LACEA-LAMES 2012 participants will be welcome to attend all sessions of both meetings.

The program includes seven plenary sessions, held by Nobel Prize winners Robert Lucas (University of Chicago) and Eric Maskin (Harvard University); Jean Charles Rochet (Toulouse School of Economics); Ricardo Caballero (MIT); Olivier Hart (Harvard University); Olivier Blanchard (IMF) and Abhijit Banerjee (Harvard University) along with Dean Karlan (Yale University).
