Statistics Finland has the pleasure of inviting you to the 28th Nordic Statistical Meeting. The conference takes place in Helsinki on 26 to 28 August 2019 under the theme Facts for Future.

The amount of available data is growing exponentially as the world becomes increasingly digital. This profound change affects the way societies function and how citizens live, communicate and set expectations. Adapting to these changes involves a number of significant challenges for official statistics. It also involves exciting opportunities. Our users expect us to deliver accurate information faster and to present it in a more user-friendly way. User needs range from official statistics to in-depth analysis and other forward-looking information products, such as experimental statistics.

The overall aim of the Nordic Statistical Meeting (NSM) is to bring statisticians and data users together to discuss best practices and recent innovations in the field of statistics. With an ambitious programme, distinguished keynote speakers and a range of short courses we are sure to deliver an inspirational event.
