Statistical Computing in the Australian & New Zealand Journal of Statistics

In 2017 the Australian & New Zealand Journal of Statistics began accepting papers for its new Statistical Computing section. This section is suitable for articles containing new algorithms, code snippets, or software descriptions (for open source software only) which enhance the field through the application of computing. Preference is given to papers featuring publicly available code and/or data, and to those motivated by statistical methods for practical problems. Vignettes for new R packages (or new releases of substantially updated R packages) are welcome, particularly those which implement recent methodological developments, or statistical methods that are of particular importance in the Australasian region.

Some recent papers in the Statistical Computing Section are:

Yee, T. W. (2020). The VGAM package for negative binomial regression. Australian & New Zealand Journal of Statistics, 62(1), 116-131.

Gelling, N., Schofield, M. R., & Barker, R. J. (2019). R package rjmcmc: reversible jump MCMC using postā€processing. Australian & New Zealand Journal of Statistics, 61(2), 189-212.
