We are pleased to welcome Rituparna Sen to the Editorial team of Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry.

Rituparna joins Fabrizio Ruggeri, Katherine Bennett Ensor, and Emmanuel Yashchin as an Editor working on the journal. 

Rituparna Sen is an associate professor in the Applied Statistics Unit at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Bangalore. Previously she worked as assistant professor at the University of California, Davis. Dr Sen earned her B.Stat and M.Stat from ISI and PhD in statistics from the University of Chicago. Her research area is the applications of statistical theory and methods in finance.  She has numerous publications in peer reviewed scientific journals. She has delivered many invited presentations at international conferences and industry special events. She organizes workshops and training programs regularly for building statistical capacity.

Dr Sen has previously served as associate editor on ASMBI and has served as associate editor and guest editor of Sankhya B and associate editor of  the Journal of the Indian Statistical Association (JISA). She is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute and a council member of the International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics (ISBIS). She has been awarded the young statistical scientist award by the International Indian Statistical Association (IISA) in the applications category, best student paper award by the American Statistical Association (ASA) section on Statistical Computing and women in mathematical sciences award by Technical University of Munich.
