The Objective Bayesian Section of ISBA will hold an International Workshop on Bayesian Model Selection in Shanghai, China at the Academy of Applied Statistical Science (AASS) at East China Normal University (ECNU) Mon January 14, 2013 - Fri January 18, 2013.

The objectives of the workshop are to facilitate the exchange of recent research developments in Bayes model selection methodology, to create opportunities for involvement of new researchers in the area, and to establish new collaborations and partnerships that will channel efforts into new directions for further study.

The workshop is designed to simultaneously carry out the missions of education, presentation of the latest research developments, and establishment of an environment conducive to collaboration. To this end, there will be four distinctive types of sessions at the workshop:

• Sessions of research talks and discussions, or research panel discussions – all in the mornings. The mix of talksdiscussions and panel discussions is left open until such time as we essentially know who will be able to participate.
• Research working groups that meet in the afternoons to formulate and initiate research developments.
• Tutorial lectures (being given concurrently with the research working groups), for those not familiar with all or parts of the subject.
• Poster sessions in the late afternoons or early evenings, in concert with a reception.

Early-bird registration will be $200 for students and $350 for others; this includes the costs of all daily breakfasts, lunches, dinners, banquets, and refreshments during the breaks. Note that AASS will be supporting much of the conference expenses.

Registration for Overseas Attendees is now available here, otherwise please provide main link provided.
